ACU St Patrick’s student business – commerce society hosted a very successful business alumni event. Josh Parkinson (committee member) welcomed back to ACU Rochelle Soliman a Talent Acquisition Specialist with Nestle, Natalie Rizzo Product Manager with ARGO Corporation, Estelle Crook Marketing Project Manager with Hungry Jacks, Maeve Tobin HR Coordinator Nestle, Kaveri Gunatilake HR Staffing Coordinator TeamKids. Each shared experiences and insights from their time as undergraduates through to their current career journey. All reinforced the need to participate widely and to get involved with all the opportunities on offer at ACU and through the PFBS; they valued opportunities for overseas study tours, community engagement, volunteering, professional experiences, networking and the personal friendly approach from lecturers. Being open to all opportunities coupled with innovative thinking has helped them with their own professional journey. They also emphasise the importance of establishing a professional profile on LinkedIn; something which the PFBS has introduced in the foundation year as part of the Future Ready Program. Congratulations to our St Patrick’s student business society on a fabulous initiative.
I am passionate about business for social impact and supporting industry collaboration to provide students with authentic opportunities to grow and flourish
