Industry-university partnerships for SDG focused internships in Australia and India
Under the auspices of the Australia-India Council, Australian Catholic University and Deakin University have partnered to host an event focussing on the benefits and challenges that students in India and Australia face in securing internships underpinned by the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). This workshop is part of a broader project funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Commonwealth Government of Australia. The project aims to map out strategies for developing SDG based internships including the clear identification of potential roadblocks.
This event has unique win-win value proposition for multiple stakeholders including non-profit organisations, students, academics, advocates and practitioners.
This project is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Commonwealth Government of Australia, and is aligned with the Australia India Council’s (AIC) objective to “promote exchange and collaboration between Australian and Indian organisations in fields of relevance to the bilateral economic partnership”.
