Congratulations to ACU Finalist Global Social Innovation Challenge 2022

Congratulations to FLB Brisbane based business students aspiring social entrepreneurs Shania Formosa (BBA), Aaron Skinner (BBA) and Anthea Martin (BCom/BBA) ACU finalist in the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge (GSIC) for 2022.

As changemakers for social good the team addressed UN SDGs to support youth in remote and regional indigenous communities. The Big Green Cookout is their innovative social enterprise to link youth with elders, mentors, inspirational role models (elite sports people, professionals) through the sharing of food, storytelling, and action to climate change.

The team pitched virtually for seed funding (to launch their social innovation idea) with finalists from across 18 other countries as part of the Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge.  We are so proud of Shania, Anthea and Aaron they are the trailblazers, the dreamers, the innovators who see solutions where others see mostly challenges.  (Maxine Bradshaw)
