Changemakers: The Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge

Since 2018 to 2022 ACU business student social entrepreneurs have been changemakers inspired to create sustainable business solutions to global issues.  In partnership with the University of San Diego and University of St. Thomas our ACU business students have addressed one or more of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by developing an innovation that responds to an environmental or social challenge at the local or global level. The challenge is embedded into ENTR202 ACU Social Entrepreneurship unit and is designed for student teams who can see a solution where others see a challenge. Global social entrepreneurs have addressed climate change issues, homelessness, youth mental health, social isolation, hunger and malnutrition challenges, drownings by culturally and linguistically diverse communities across coastal and inland waterways.
